I was born in Maine, so I’ve always considered myself a maniac at heart. We moved to Connecticut when I was little and my sister and I were always happiest creating our own art projects like fancy paper dolls and gourmet mud pies.  I have been making and painting things for as long as I can remember–that’s a LONG time! My parents were both artists and I grew up surrounded by paint, art supplies and interesting people. I enjoy finding new ways to look at things, and bringing lots of color to peoples’ lives. Everyone should embellish themselves as well as their surroundings. After graduating from UConn with a BFA, I have had a number of art related jobs including book jacket design, packaging, and textile design. I moved to Brooklyn in 1978 and love it here! It’s a big small town. I have had my own freelance design studio since 1989.
