Garrett Sadler

Garrett Sadler set aside the attractions of the corporate world in 2010 and founded her glass studio, excited to explore the infinite potential of kiln formed and fused glass. Master classes and independent experimentation enabled Garrett to express her instinct to make order out of chaos through her work, creating functional and decorative pieces that echo the harmonious stillness most strongly felt in nature’s quiet moments.

In 2014, Garrett Sadler was awarded Best in Functional Glass for her works shown in the 2014 Taos Art Glass Invitational, a biennial event that brings the best in international, regional, and local studio art glass to Taos, New Mexico. This was Garrett’s first juried show.  Her work and studio have been published in Lenox Living Magazine and The Shelburne News (http://www.shelburnenews.com/2018/01/18/garrett-sadler-glass-artist-pace-pieces-together-creations/).

Garrett is inspired by the seasonal changes in the fields and forests of northern Vermont, the granite lined lakes of Quebec’s Gatineau and the open skies of the Champlain Valley. Her recent works reflect her exploration with reactive glasses. She has studied with Pavel Novak, Emma Varga, Karl Harron, Robert Leatherbarrow, Catherine Newell, Richard Parrish, Matthew Day Perez, and Amanda Taylor.

In 2016, Garrett moved to Charlotte, VT and has fulfilled her dream of having a studio with windows looking west to the Adirondacks.
