Back in February, Joan and I went down to Philadelphia to scout for new artisans of jewelry and crafts to freshen up our offerings. We met lovely people and discovered nice jewelry styles to provide more options for you. Now, the orders are arriving just in time for the spring seasonal change. Sometimes you just need something new!

Though our main event was the American Craft Retailers Expo, we also found time to enjoy the amazing South Street mosaics of Isaiah Zagar. Zagar has created a multitude of murals starting in his own lot and moving on to fences, neighboring building walls, streets, and abandoned lots. He uses all sorts of odds and ends such as broken dishware, bottles, bicycle parts, wires, cloth, stones, other people’s lost or broken art, and lots of poetry. It’s a stunning display all in all.

As you can see, craft expos can be overwhelming and exhausting. So we experienced nice comic relief when we happened upon an artist’s booth displaying a range of comical masks with many appropriate moods represented. There were hundreds and hundreds of vendors, some of whose work is now currently in the gallery! Plus, we are expecting more deliveries in the coming weeks. We hope you can find a unique gift for a friend or fill a missing spot in your own collection. See you soon! -Lara
