19th Century French Regence style frame with extensive ornament loss and water damage. The frame was almost completely over painted with bronze gold paint. About 15% of the original finish was preserved, areas of replaced ornaments and gesso, and areas where the original finish was damaged, were regilded, and toned to match the remaining areas of the original finish.
