Alison Goodwin is a contemporary artist living and working in northern New England. Over the past fifteen years Goodwin has created hundreds of works, each revealing the artist's brilliant imagination and aesthetic. Goodwin works in acrylic paint, oil pastels and oil bar on paper. Through the careful layering and manipulation of the media, Goodwin has developed a unique and highly personalized technique.

Characterized by unruly, saturated, turbulent color, the rejection of natural vistas and skewed perspectives, Goodwin’s work forms a direct link to the revolutionary artists of century-ago Paris known as Fauvists. This group included artists such as Cézanne, Gauguin and Van Gogh, artists whose work was all about emotion and expression.

In addition to her original paintings, limited edition serigraphs are also available. Widely collected, Goodwin's work has been exhibited throughout the US and Canada since the late 1980s.
